Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, self-scheduling, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional critical care to trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients in a 33-bed ICU
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation with confidence
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, collaborating with tele techs for optimal patient outcomes
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam (90% required) to ensure competence
Work collaboratively with nurse aides and respiratory therapists to deliver holistic care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to comply with facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in managing ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms and telemetry
Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
