Location: Centennial, Colorado

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays as per unit schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients across multiple facilities in Zone 3
Serve as Charge Nurse, coordinating patient assignments and responding to codes and rapid responses
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, antiarrhythmics, heparin, and insulin
Float to various acuity levels (ICU, PCU/Stepdown, MS-Tele) as needed within the zone
Interpret telemetry strips independently and manage ventilator settings in collaboration with RT
Ensure safe patient ratios (1:1-2) and adjust for high-acuity cases like CRRT or Impella

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred for first-time travelers
Prior Charge Nurse experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
Epic experience required; travel experience preferred
Willingness to float throughout Denver Zone 3 (60-mile radius) and adapt to different facilities

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in titrating all critical drips
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to manage ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Comfortable with rapid response and code situations
Excellent communication and leadership skills for charge nurse role
