Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care across multiple facilities within Zone 1
• Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• Manage diverse patient cases including abdominal pain, NSTEMI, stroke, trauma, and respiratory emergencies
• Perform point-of-care lab testing and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Collaborate with charge nurses and techs to maintain safe 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratios
• Adapt quickly to different facility workflows and uphold standards of care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado (or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Willingness to float within a 60-mile radius across multiple hospital zones
• Ability to start with a week of orientation (in-state required)
• Travel experience preferred but not required - we welcome passionate ER nurses ready for adventure

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in triage, trauma stabilization, and emergency interventions
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting telemetry strips without monitor tech support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for floating between facilities
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients including those on ventilators, CPAP, and drips
• Flexibility to work in varying trauma level settings (Level 3 and 4)
