Location: College Station, TX

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation starting at 6:45 AM/PM, midshifts available, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity levels
Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as ordered
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, performing EKGs and dysrhythmia recognition
Assist with emergency procedures including suturing, splinting, intubation, and trauma resuscitation
Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Current RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of ER experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass advanced dysrhythmia test (83%) before contract start
Comfortable with first-time travelers; call outs strongly discouraged

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in emergency nursing skills including trauma, cardiac, and stroke care
Knowledge of common ER drips such as pressors and sedation
Ability to read and interpret EKGs independently
Experience with pediatric patients and high-acuity situations
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
