Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in a combined ED/MedSurg swing unit
• Titrate and monitor intravenous drips, including cardiac and vasoactive medications, ensuring patient safety
• Serve as charge nurse, coordinating patient flow and delegating tasks to support staff
• Read and interpret telemetry strips, responding to changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members to develop and implement care plans
• Float to the ED holds area as needed, managing acute patients with efficiency and skill

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota (or compact license accepted)
• At least one year of recent MedSurg experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Ability to titrate drips and care for telemetry patients
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced rural healthcare setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
• Experience with charge nurse responsibilities and patient flow management
• Skill in administering and titrating cardiac, sedative, and vasoactive drips
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative team where every team member's contribution is valued
• Adaptability to float between ED holds and MedSurg swing assignments
