Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients awaiting placement from the emergency department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving to med/surg/tele units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and both CRMC and MGMC campuses as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Ability to pass RELIAS dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer
Comfortable with a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titration of cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Patient assessment and care planning for med/surg/tele patients
Collaboration with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams
