Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate nursing care that promotes comfort and enhances residents' quality of life
Lead and mentor Resident Assistants with coaching, training, and education on proper nursing techniques
Follow each resident's individual plan of care to deliver personalized support
Administer medications accurately and on time while maintaining strong assessment skills
Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols to protect residents, visitors, and staff
Practice the Choices Philosophy of Care by treating every resident with dignity and respect

Qualifications

Active Alaska LPN licensure required
Current American Heart Association BLSP (CPR) certification required
1 year of long term care nursing experience preferred
New graduates welcome with an 8-12 month preceptorship at Heritage Place
Associate's degree in nursing

Education

Associate's degree in nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and clinical leadership abilities
Commitment to safety and infection control practices
Ability to coach and educate nursing support staff
Understanding of state and federal long term care regulations
Compassionate, respectful approach to resident care
