Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality radiographic exams using CR and DR systems to support accurate diagnoses
• Operate and troubleshoot PACS, HIS and RIS systems to ensure smooth image workflow
• Deliver compassionate, professional patient care and maintain patient confidentiality
• Practice infection control and body substance isolation in accordance with hospital and OSHA policies
• Maintain and demonstrate required department competencies and attend mandatory education
• Assist with instruction or supervision of department personnel when assigned
• Document exams, maintain records, and communicate findings to the care team in a timely manner
• Support mammography services and stay current with continuing education for radiology and mammography

Qualifications

• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License in hand or proof of application required; client will not pend license
• Active American Heart Association BLS required
• Minimum 2 years radiography experience with 1 year current experience required
• Experience with CR, DR, PACS, HIS and RIS required; Meditech Expanse strongly preferred
• Must be willing to work weekends and evenings and adhere to the posted 8-hour schedule
• Travel candidates: must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Radiography, Mammography, and general patient care
• Skilled with Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR)
• Experienced using PACS for image management and retrieval
• Familiarity with HIS and RIS workflows and troubleshooting
• Strong infection control practices and OSHA-compliant techniques
• Excellent communication, documentation, and patient positioning skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment under direction of Lead Technologist
