Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule; no weekends, no on-call)
Hours per Week: 39
Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality external beam radiation therapy to adult and geriatric outpatients using TrueBeam, Ethos and MRI‑LinAc
- Perform CBCT/kV/mV imaging and precise patient positioning for IMRT, SRS and other advanced treatment techniques
- Operate and verify treatments in ARIA/Varis/Vision record-and-verify systems and document care in EPIC
- Use respiratory gating and fiducial/seed localization techniques for prostate and thoracic cases
- Collaborate with dosimetrists, physicists, RNs and physicians to optimize treatment plans and patient safety
- Provide compassionate patient and family teaching, including pre-treatment education and follow-up instructions
- Maintain strict radiation safety practices and ensure compliance with facility infection control and PPE protocols
- Respond to emergencies as needed (Crash Cart, rapid response/code team) and assist with lift/transfer devices when required
- Assist with specialty procedures and support use of brachytherapy/assistive intracavity or interstitial administration as appropriate
Qualifications
- ARRT (T) certification required (ARRT T)
- California State Radiation Therapist License required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years radiation therapy experience required; 5 years preferred
- Experience with Adult Outpatient settings and high-volume treatment units
- Demonstrated proficiency with TrueBeam, ARIA/Varis/Vision and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
- Experience delivering IMRT, SRS, respiratory gating and prostate treatments with seeds/fiducials
- Comfortable with EPIC documentation and standard radiation safety practices
- First-time travelers welcome — travel experience not required
Education
- ARRT (T) certification and California State Radiation Therapist License required
- BLS required
- No specific college degree listed; certification and state licensure are the key requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- External Beam Therapy, IMRT and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT simulation and custom molds
- TrueBeam, Ethos, MRIdian (MRI‑LinAc) and Varian/Siemens equipment familiarity
- ARIA/Varis/Vision record-and-verify systems and EPIC charting
- Radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE and emergency response procedures
- Patient/family teaching, lift/transfer assistance and care of patients in restraints
- Use of crash cart/defibrillator and participation on rapid response/code teams
- Comfort with treating a broad range of diagnoses (benign brain tumors, prostate, hematologic and solid tumors)
