Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services including order entry and verification to ensure medication safety
• Dispense and check medications accurately to support safe, effective use for diverse patient populations
• Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic and oncology to expand clinical impact
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, providers, and technicians to optimize patient care
• Support geriatric and pediatric patient care needs with clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Document clinical interventions and communicate medication recommendations to the care team

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license or eligible for reciprocation in Pennsylvania within 90 days of hire
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy preferred
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Pharmacy residency experience preferred for ambulatory rotations
• Advanced practice certifications preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required if assigned to Anticoagulation Clinic, with renewal every two years
• Retail pharmacy experience will not be considered

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Expertise in order verification, medication dispensing, and clinical pharmacy practices
• Ability to interact positively and professionally with pharmacists, technicians, providers, nurses, and medical reps
• Comfort working in acute care environments and rotating into ambulatory settings
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills
• Experience supporting diverse populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
