Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients and perform high-quality diagnostic nuclear medicine studies following established protocols and safety standards.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals and monitor patients for reactions and safety throughout procedures.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot imaging equipment including gamma camera, dose calibrator, survey meters, well counter, and thyroid uptake probe.
Ensure radiation safety and compliance with regulatory and institutional procedures; maintain accurate documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and report equipment issues promptly to support uninterrupted patient care.
Participate in teaching and instructional activities to support staff development and student learning.
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and the care team to support diagnostic accuracy and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Current Hawaii Nuclear Medicine Technologist license (required).
Current BLS/HCP certification (required).
One (1) year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.
Demonstrated knowledge of nuclear medicine physics, radiopharmaceutical administration, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to work independently in a single-tech rural setting.
