Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians with patient intake and clinical workflows to keep care moving smoothly
• Obtain and record vital signs and relevant patient information accurately
• Prepare patients and supplies for examinations and minor procedures
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the medical record and support continuity of care
• Communicate with patients and internal teams professionally and compassionately
• Support infection control and safety protocols within the facility at all times

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant background or certification (Class: MA)
• Available to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and attend the 2-week training (M-F)
• Comfortable working onsite at Richard J. Donovan Correctional facility
• Ability to pass any facility-required screenings and comply with site policies
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with patient intake and basic clinical procedures
• Accurate vital signs collection and documentation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction and charting
• Familiarity with infection control and standard clinical safety practices
• Ability to follow protocols and support efficient clinic workflows
• Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical environment
