Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside nursing care to long-term care residents
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in line with policies
• Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions accurately
• Perform wound care and other skilled nursing procedures as needed
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create resident-centered plans
• Communicate clearly with residents and families to support quality of life
• Support infection control and safety practices to protect residents and staff

Qualifications

• Current LPN or LVN license in the state of New York (required)
• Comfortable working in a long-term care (LTC) setting
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or able to obtain
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; resident-focused attitude
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility onboarding needs

Education

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical skills for medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations and best practices
• Accurate charting and documentation skills, including electronic medical records
• Strong observational skills to recognize changes in resident condition
• Time management and prioritization to handle a busy LTC caseload
