Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in a long-term care/rehab setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report changes promptly to the care team
• Document care, observations, and interventions clearly in the resident record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and physicians to support individualized care plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and safe discharge processes when needed
• Support residents’ dignity and independence through person-centered care and encouragement

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to Massachusetts (LPN preferred per order)
• Comfortable working the 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM night shift
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Reliable, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality resident care
• Background checks and facility-required immunizations must be completed prior to start

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent for LPN role; Associate Degree or diploma for RN role
• Continuing education and facility-specific training welcomed and supported

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Familiarity with long-term care and rehabilitation nursing best practices
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and clear documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time during busy shifts, and respond calmly in emergencies
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
