Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Grand Island, NE
Start Date: 08-03-2026
End Date: 11-02-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, holidays as needed
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and post-surgical GYN patients
- Monitor and titrate Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia drips as needed
- Collaborate with charge nurse to ensure safe staffing ratios per AWHONN guidelines
- Perform assessments, manage pain, and support breastfeeding-friendly care
- Maintain open communication with patients and families, providing emotional support during childbirth
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Driver's license required at submittal
- Ability to pass open-book exam during orientation with at least 90%
- EPIC experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in EPIC charting
- Knowledge of obstetric emergencies and titratable drips
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
