Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients in a Level II EQ and Level 1 Trauma Center
• Confidently circulate and recover C-sections, ensuring safe patient outcomes
• Monitor fetal heart rates using Fetal Link and interpret EFM patterns
• Titrate medications such as Pitocin and Magnesium Sulfate per protocol
• Collaborate with OB hospitalists, anesthesia, and the healthcare team to manage high-risk pregnancies
• Float to mother-baby or postpartum units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona or compact state (willing to obtain AZ license)
• Minimum 4 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% score (2 attempts max)
• Experience with C-sections and computer charting (preferably Cerner)
• Ability to titrate drips and manage acute obstetric emergencies
• Pass a Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation (study guides provided)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in Cerner EMR and Fetal Link monitoring system
• Strong understanding of AWHONN staffing guidelines and patient ratios
• Skilled in dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Knowledgeable in ACLS, BLS, and NRP protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptable to floating and working in a fast-paced environment
