Dental Hygienist - Per Diem

Shift Type: Flexible per diem shifts, typically 10:45 AM - 8:00 PM
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional dental hygiene care including cleanings, exams, and patient education
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques to promote long-term health
Qualifications
- Current Dental Hygiene license in Virginia (required)
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical skills in scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis
- Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Patient-centered approach with a gentle and caring demeanor
