Location: Brattleboro, Vermont

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts), 36 hours guaranteed per week; weekend and on-call schedules to be determined

Hours per Week: 60

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor the health of mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum
Provide family-centered care in a low-risk birth unit using single-room maternity care
Assist with cesarean births and epidurals
Implement nursing interventions and evaluate patient responses
Educate and support families through the birthing process
Care for obstetrical patients, clean female surgical cases, and newborn stabilization

Qualifications

At least 1 year of current LDRP experience (400+ deliveries a year preferred)
Active Registered Nurse license in Vermont
Active American Heart Association BLS certification
AFM, NRP, and STABLE certifications preferred (can be obtained during onboarding)
Travel experience highly preferred
Resume with no gaps over 30 days, skills checklist, and 2 supervisory references required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in patient assessment, nursing care, and perinatal care
Experience with C-sections, epidurals, electronic charting, and venipuncture
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced birthing center environment
