Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to geriatric residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, and eating
Support residents with mobility and rehabilitation exercises
Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff promptly
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
Offer emotional support and companionship to enhance quality of life
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure personalized care

Qualifications

Valid Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
Current CPR/BLS certification
Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is a plus
Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with elderly patients
Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the team
Must pass background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Safe patient handling and body mechanics for transfers
Infection control practices and protocols
Time management and organizational skills
Empathy and respect for patient dignity and privacy
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
