Registered Nurse - Med Surg
Location: Lincoln, ME
Start Date: 07-27-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments and reassessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and physician orders
- Administer medications safely using the five rights and evaluate patient responses
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and update them on patient changes
- Provide patient and family education and ensure understanding of discharge plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness drills
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Maine or compact state required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of med-surg nursing experience
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong nursing assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of drug administration and age-appropriate care
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and med verify
