Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Corvallis, Oregon
Start Date: 07-10-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to moderately stable patients with elevated risk for instability
- Perform advanced monitoring, assessments, and interventions in a fast-paced PCU setting
- Interpret EKGs and respond to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge needs
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Oregon RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications required upon submission
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or acute care experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (required per CAP regulations)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring
- Experience with advanced monitoring equipment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-acuity environment
