Location: Grand Island, NE

Start Date: 08-03-2026

End Date: 11-02-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to a diverse patient population including young adults and geriatrics with conditions such as sepsis, STEMI, COVID, stroke, and more
Titrate and manage complex drips including sedation, paralytics, pressors, antihypertensives, heparin, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, respond to alarms, and intervene as needed
Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and the eICU remote monitoring team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform bedside shift report and intentional hourly rounding to enhance patient safety and experience
Handle advanced equipment like Gaymar Hypothermia, Arrow Balloon Pump, Camino Neuro monitoring, CRRT, Impella, EVDs, and Lumbar drains

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in EPIC charting system
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Comfortable with ventilators and respiratory equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptable to culturally diverse patient populations
