Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Help with safe transfers and mobility support while promoting resident independence
Observe and report changes in condition to nursing staff to ensure timely care
Support mealtime and hydration needs, documenting intake and any concerns
Maintain a clean, safe living environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
High school diploma or GED preferred
Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Education

GNA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Basic nursing aide skills and knowledge of activities of daily living
Understanding of infection control practices and safe patient handling
Ability to document care accurately and communicate changes to nursing staff
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills for working with older adults
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
