Location: Silver Spring, MD

Shift Type: Days not specified, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening/PM shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor residents' condition and report changes clearly and promptly to the nursing team
Assist with safe transfers and mobility, promoting independence whenever possible
Support mealtime and personal care with dignity and respect
Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, safe environment for residents

Qualifications

GNA certification required (Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working the evening/PM shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Skilled in safe resident transfers and mobility assistance
Familiarity with documentation best practices and resident charts
Team player who communicates effectively with nurses and support staff
Attention to detail and a patient-centered approach to care
