Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to residents, supporting dignity and comfort every day
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting) with patience and respect
• Measure and accurately record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document care and observations clearly and timely to maintain high-quality resident records
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment for residents and staff
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team to promote excellent outcomes
• Contribute to a positive, home-like atmosphere that enhances residents' quality of life

Qualifications

• Current GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous experience in long-term care, rehab or similar setting preferred but new grads with strong bedside skills are welcome
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening and any required facility onboarding
• Reliable, compassionate, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or GED; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Accurate vital signs collection and basic observation skills
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
• Clear documentation and timely reporting to nursing staff
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with residents
