Roles & Responsibilities

Provide full-spectrum inpatient hospital coverage as the sole physician on service
Deliver continuous 24-hour care including nursing home call duties
Manage a mixed adult and geriatric patient population with an average census of 14
Coordinate care for swing-bed patients requiring post-acute support
Respond to unrestricted call while not onsite, ensuring seamless patient coverage
Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and integrated documentation

Qualifications

Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active Kentucky Medical License
Kentucky DEA registration
Current BLS Certification
Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong inpatient care and hospitalist skills
Comfortable managing both acute and post-acute patients independently
Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Ability to provide sole-physician coverage in a critical access setting
