Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiographic procedures following prescribed techniques and protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Adjust imaging equipment settings (voltage, current, time) and prepare rooms and contrast materials for procedures
• Position patients safely and effectively, apply immobilization/support devices, and practice radiation protection to minimize exposure
• Perform daily cleaning and basic maintenance of x-ray/CT equipment and complete diagnostic testing as needed
• Complete and maintain quality control tasks and reports specific to performed procedures
• Respond to call assignments and provide dependable coverage when scheduled
• Handle general office duties such as scheduling, answering phones, filing, and coordinating incoming patients

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registered (required)
• CT certification (required); MRI certification preferred but not required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area and participate in call assignments

Education

• Formal radiologic technologist training (AMA-approved program)

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and radiography/X-ray techniques
• Radiation protection and patient safety practices
• Imaging equipment operation, troubleshooting and basic maintenance
• Patient positioning and contrast administration
• Quality control procedures and record keeping
• Scheduling, communication and general office workflows
