Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures with confidence and care
• Prepare patients by obtaining relevant history, checking for allergies, and providing required identification
• Position and transfer patients safely using accepted lifting and immobilization techniques
• Administer IV contrast media per radiologist protocols and monitor patients for adverse reactions
• Operate, set up, and monitor complex CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images
• Perform daily equipment calibration and quality control checks to maintain high image standards
• Capture, store, transfer, and archive digital images in accordance with department and EMR procedures
• Assist radiologists with specialized imaging procedures and contribute to departmental quality improvement

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required) and current BLS (required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (required)
• Experience with Philips CT systems (required)
• Traveler experience preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR preferred
• Demonstrated competency in IV contrast administration and patient monitoring
• Ability to maintain registry and meet regulatory requirements; state licensure if applicable (provide verification if required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in CT scanning, patient positioning, and image acquisition
• Proficient in digital image capture, storage, and transfer workflows
• Knowledge of equipment calibration, daily quality control, and image quality assurance
• Experience with IV contrast administration and radiation safety practices
• Comfortable responding to emergency situations and providing basic CPR
• Familiar with MRMC imaging protocols and Cerner EMR documentation
