Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report clinical changes promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families through respectful communication
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care

Qualifications

• Current CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant credential (required)
• Valid state CNA license or certification as applicable
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts (07:00 PM - 07:00 AM)
• Willingness to complete a background check and standard onboarding screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care: ADLs, toileting, bathing, grooming, feeding support
• Competence with vital signs, basic observations, and documentation
• Infection control and safe patient handling practices
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with patients and teams
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn

This per-diem position is based in California near Olympic Boulevard in the Greater Los Angeles area. When you’re off shift, explore downtown Los Angeles attractions — museums like The Broad and the Natural History Museum, live performance venues, Grand Central Market for eclectic eats, and scenic spots such as Griffith Park and the Griffith Observatory.
