Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents’ comfort and dignity
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-specific) or completion of an approved nursing assistant program
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Background checks and required facility screenings (per facility policy)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current/state CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and infection prevention practices
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
- Accurate documentation and time-management skills
- Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with patient dignity, respect, and HIPAA principles
