Location: North Cape May, NJ

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Variable days (per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe transfers and ambulation while following care plans
Document care activities and observations clearly in the chart
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent care
Maintain infection control and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification; New Jersey certification preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a related setting is a plus
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of patient care fundamentals and ADLs
Ability to take and document vital signs and observations
Basic infection control practices and safety precautions
Patient transfer and mobility assistance techniques
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
Time management and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts
