Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care for patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor patient condition and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Perform routine documentation accurately and timely to support continuity of care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Support patient dignity and emotional needs through respectful, person-centered interactions

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (or eligible) — New Mexico certification preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable and experienced with overnight/extended shifts
• Ability to pass standard background checks and required health screenings
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• LOCAL ONLY — candidates must live within local commuting distance

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient hygiene, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Basic vital signs monitoring and charting
• Safe transfer and mobility techniques
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Strong observational skills and clear communication with nursing staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with elders or medically complex patients
