Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor telemetry patients and report changes in cardiac rhythm or condition promptly
• Document patient status, interventions and observations accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team to implement patient care plans
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards on the telemetry unit
• Float to other units as needed while maintaining high quality of care

Qualifications

• Current California CNA license (required)
• BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years recent CNA experience with at least one year in an acute care hospital setting (required)
• Telemetry experience and familiarity with Cerner charting (preferred)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to other units as needed
• Willingness to complete a 12-hour orientation

Education

• California CNA certification / CNA license (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (typical expectation for CNA roles)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry patient monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Proficient charting in Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
• Strong patient-centered care and safety practices
• Effective communication and teamwork on acute care units
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, infection control
