Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver skilled interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and gait training
• Monitor patient progress and adjust plans to achieve functional goals
• Document assessments and treatments accurately and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and rehab team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families to support safe transitions and maximize outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols and licensing requirements

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain NM licensure
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program; DPT strongly preferred
• Clinical experience in orthopedic, neurological or acute rehab settings preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication skills and experience with documentation in electronic medical records

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual techniques and gait training
• Ability to perform comprehensive musculoskeletal and functional assessments
• Proficient in developing measurable treatment plans and discharge planning
• Knowledge of safety, fall prevention and mobility aid prescription
• Effective interdisciplinary communication and patient education skills
