Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to develop personalized occupational therapy plans that support independence and daily function
• Deliver evidence-based OT interventions to help patients regain skills and achieve meaningful goals
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to ensure cohesive care plans
• Document patient progress clearly and timely, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients and caregivers on strategies, adaptive equipment, and home programs to maximize outcomes
• Participate in facility meetings and quality initiatives to continuously improve patient care

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state of Maryland (or compact state privileges where applicable)
• OTR credential or equivalent certification as required by the facility
• Experience working in post-acute, rehab, or contract therapy settings preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain

Education

• Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a related field acceptable with appropriate OT certification where applicable

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in functional assessments, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Familiarity with rehab protocols and discharge planning
• Proficient documentation and electronic medical record usage
• Ability to tailor interventions for diverse patient populations
• Strong problem-solving and patient education skills
