Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely according to plan
• Perform clinical assessments and document findings clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and follow-up steps
• Monitor patient status and escalate changes promptly to ensure timely interventions
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Active LPN license or eligible for LPN licensure in New Mexico
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable administering medications and performing routine nursing procedures
• Professional attitude, strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Education

• LPN diploma or practical nursing certificate from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Vital signs, wound care basics and ADL assistance
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Infection prevention, safety protocols and standard precautions
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
