Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during the night shift
• Assess and continuously monitor patient condition and report changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and self-care
• Respond effectively to emergencies and prioritize patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Valid RN or LPN license (applicable to the role you hold) in the state of Maine
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care or long-term care settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Current immunizations and background checks as required by facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN). BSN preferred but not required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Ability to manage admissions, discharges, and transfers smoothly
• Comfort working independently on overnight shifts and prioritizing tasks
• Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical charting
