Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility and feeding while promoting resident dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Support infection control practices and a safe, clean environment for residents
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver person-centered care
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy
• Comfort working in a long-term care / skilled nursing environment
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills when working with residents and team members

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved state CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with basic patient care and ADLs
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection control principles and safe patient handling
• Strong observational skills and capacity to report clinical changes
• Teamwork, time management, and respectful resident-centered communication
