Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care and assist patients with daily living activities
• Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Deliver safe transfers, mobility assistance, and falls prevention support
• Assist with hygiene, feeding, and comfort measures while preserving dignity
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Previous CNA experience in long-term care, rehab, or acute settings a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with documentation best practices and charting
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate changes appropriately
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols
