Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and provide skilled bedside nursing care during overnight hours
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Monitor and document patient status, interventions and responses in clinical records
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions when needed
• Educate patients and families with compassion and clarity to support recovery

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (or LPN where applicable) in Maine or compact RN license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Demonstrated clinical experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and communication skills
• Able to work overnight shifts and adapt to varying patient needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Diploma-holding nurses with appropriate licensure considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration and nursing documentation
• Skilled in patient assessment, IV therapy basics and wound care
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Team-oriented mindset with strong patient advocacy skills
