Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Perform routine vital signs checks and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence
• Document resident care accurately and communicate observations clearly
• Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Active authorization to practice in North Carolina preferred
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic clinical tasks
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; compassionate bedside manner
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding, background check, and required immunizations

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed accredited CNA training program and current CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and hygiene
• Basic vital signs measurement and reporting
• Safe transfer and positioning techniques
• Accurate documentation and charting
• Infection control practices and PPE use
• Teamwork and effective communication with healthcare staff and families
