Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on basic care to patients, promoting dignity and comfort
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Document care and communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary staff
• Participate in patient meal service and record intake as required
• Respond promptly to patient needs and support a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) — current, active certification required
• Comfortable working night shifts and flexible per-diem scheduling
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred or required per facility)
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and compassionate bedside manner
• Measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Infection control and standard precautions
• Clear, concise clinical documentation and handoff communication
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks on busy shifts
• Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and support staff
