Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, treating each person with dignity
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Document resident care clearly and promptly in the facility charting system
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the broader care team to promote continuity of care
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain quickly)
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Successful background check and drug screening as required
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to North Cape May as needed
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but enthusiastic new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong basic nursing care skills and familiarity with ADLs
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Comfortable with resident lifting and transfer techniques
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
