Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the clinical team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Document patient care, observations, and interventions clearly and timely
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients and families
• Support infection control practices and adhere to facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working evening/night shifts and adaptable to per diem scheduling
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
• Basic familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Knowledge of infection control and standard precautions
• Good charting habits and ability to follow care plans
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
