Roles & Responsibilities

• Observe residents continuously and report meaningful changes in mental and physical well-being
• Administer physician orders, medications and treatments with accurate electronic MAR/TAR documentation
• Perform and document patient assessments, admissions, discharges and transfers
• Provide IV therapy, oxygen administration, and gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings per policy
• Deliver wound care, including familiarity with wound VAC systems
• Supervise, assign and mentor LNAs; monitor LNA documentation and care practices
• Maintain infection control, unit safety, and a hazard-free environment
• Prepare 24-hour unit reports, review new orders, and maintain communication with Nurse Manager/DON
• Support physician rounds and participate in care planning and 60-day reviews
• Assist in orientation and education of new nursing staff and participate in mandatory meetings

Qualifications

• Active New Hampshire RN license in-hand at time of submission (Compact allowed)
• Minimum 3+ years nursing experience (must include recent experience within the last 6 months)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• IV certification preferred — or willingness to obtain IV certification during onboarding
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no declinations/exemptions accepted)
• Two supervisory references from the last 2 years of employment
• Previous travel nursing and rural/small facility experience highly preferred
• Reliable personal transportation required (facility is in a rural area with limited housing/public transit)
• Willingness to float to other units as needed

Education

• Active RN licensure required; ADN or BSN in Nursing preferred

• Medication administration and electronic MAR/TAR documentation
• Patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• IV therapy and infusion management
• Wound care techniques and wound VAC familiarity
• Gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings and oxygen administration
• Infection control practices and regulatory compliance
• Supervisory skills: assigning, coaching and evaluating LNAs
• Comfort with computerized documentation systems and shift reporting
