Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents while promoting dignity and independence
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output, and other routine observations accurately
• Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to nursing staff and document findings clearly
• Support safe transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Create warm, restorative experiences for residents through friendly interaction and engagement
• Follow facility policies, infection control practices, and safety protocols consistently

Qualifications

• Current LNA/Licensed Nursing Assistant certification (VT or NH acceptable)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable transportation and ability to report locally (local-only requirement)
• Availability to work evenings and every-other-weekend rotations
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Previous long-term care or rehabilitation experience preferred but new graduates with clinical experience are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited LNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical care and resident-centered practices
• Ability to take and document vital signs and routine observations
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing teams
• Time management skills to prioritize care tasks during a busy shift
• Comfort with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility documentation systems
