Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote comfort and dignity
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the nursing team
• Document care thoroughly and accurately to ensure continuity and quality of care
• Support mealtime assistance and timely feeding while respecting resident preferences
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain infection control standards and a safe, tidy environment for residents

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent training
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfortable working evening shifts and collaborating in a team environment
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain if requested
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs, transfers, and basic patient care
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
• Good documentation habits and basic familiarity with electronic or paper charting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a clinical team
