Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and geriatrics on Oncology Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
- Float between Oncology MS units and PCU as needed to support patient care and unit staffing
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond promptly alongside rapid response and code teams
- Administer and manage IV therapies, blood products, central/PICC lines, and initiate IVs safely
- Support chemotherapy administration and monitoring when applicable and credentialed
- Perform respiratory support tasks including BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, and oxygen management
- Manage endocrine and renal protocols including IV insulin protocols and pre/post hemodialysis patient care
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC and use Pyxis for medication management
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — pharmacy, PT, respiratory, social services, radiology and more — to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain security awareness and ensure staff/patient safety while working in a locked corrections environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state licensure required) — bring your clinical skills and professionalism
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (must meet experience within the last 3 years) with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience is required — strong documentation skills are a must
- Experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry settings; oncology experience preferred but not required
- Comfort and ability to work in a secure corrections environment with controlled access by corrections officers
- Competency with IV therapy, blood product administration, central line and PICC management preferred
- Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in Rapid Response/Code teams
Education
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Nursing (ADN/BSN) — BSN preferred
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS required; advanced certifications as applicable to specialty (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
- Cardiac monitoring and management of common cardiac drips (no titration unless specified)
- IV therapy, PICC and central line care, phlebotomy, and blood product administration
- Familiarity with EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication systems
- Respiratory care: BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy care, ABG interpretation basics
- Endocrine protocols including IV insulin protocols and familiarity with titration principles
- Feeding tube care and gastrointestinal management
- Pre/Post hemodialysis patient management and renal failure care
- Infection control, isolation precautions, and working safely in a corrections environment
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills
