Shift Type: Variable schedule including weekends and holidays; 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM day shifts, plus call coverage (day shift, includes weekend and holiday rotations)

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for trauma and surgical patients
- Execute sterile techniques, patient positioning, and instrument handling with precision
- Respond promptly and effectively to Level 1 trauma activations and emergent situations
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Cover on-call shifts and support weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Complete accurate documentation and maintain a high skills checklist rating
Qualifications
- Current RN license (must be eligible to practice in Georgia)
- Previous Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Previous travel assignment experience required
- High rating on skills checklist (demonstrated strong clinical skills)
- Availability for weekend, holiday shifts and call coverage
- Burn experience preferred
- Current BLS required; ACLS/PNC or specialty certifications as applicable (if requested by facility)
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique mastery
- Trauma protocols and rapid assessment for emergent surgical cases
- Familiarity with OR instrumentation, equipment, and procedural flow
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to perform under pressure
- Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Accurate EMR/charting and perioperative documentation skills
