Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist therapists in delivering patient-centered care and implementing treatment plans
• Carry out therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and functional mobility practice
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and communicate changes to the care team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety strategies
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain equipment to ensure a safe therapy environment
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to support timely, coordinated care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Hampshire or eligible for state licensure
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehab setting and delivering hands-on care
• Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements such as background check and immunizations

Education

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual handling, and gait training techniques
• Proficient with documentation in electronic medical records and outcome reporting
• Strong patient communication and education abilities
• Knowledge of transfer techniques, ADL training, and assistive device use
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
